Following extensive refurbishment the iconic Hobbit Inn and restaurant is once again a fabulous contemporary yet informal hotel with 14 en-suite rooms. The Hobbit is now a Steak House and the new and extensive menu, always comprising fresh and locally sourced ingredients, has been designed to suit all tastes.
The brand new en-suite accommodation allows for luxurious respite for the mid week traveller or weekend visitors.
Renowned for the high standard of food and hospitality, the Hobbit Hotel and Restaurant lies within the Upper Calder Valley, Sowerby Bridge is located on the A58, some 3 miles south west of Halifax, approx 6 miles south east of Huddersfield and with easy access to the nearby trans Pennine (M62) motorway. The well-known and long established Hobbit over looks the valley, with easy access to and from the town below.
The Hobbit Hotel is the perfect venue for weddings, meetings and functions of all kinds, with 14 ensuite bedrooms, extensive bar & restaurant (seating 40), a large function room (accommodating 80) and parking for approximately 60 vehicles.

Great Beef Cattle need to be grass fed, which allows the cow to grow normally. Secondly it must be under 30 months old, and last but very important it needs to be FAT (fat = flavour)
Matured: Once we have the right meat traditionally hung by our butcher Fresh Fields in Sowerby Bridge, they are fresh daily and the best steaks using Yorkshire beef.
